The Writings on The Stall is a project site for an idea that took shape at the end of 2001. My intention has been to create a collection of writings found specifically on restroom stalls.
Stalls serve as (informal) forums for politics, pop culture, humor, and so forth. What better, then, than to make these these localized thoughts and ideas globally available?
Silicon Valley wrote that The Writings on the Stall is "not suitable for those with an aversion to the sort of stuff written on restroom walls"; we wouldn't disagree.
